Hey guys!

How's Iota? Keep the posts coming!
Your flag was really cool, you all put in lots of effort into it. :)

Although there's no more platoon points, no more materialistic motivation, that doesn't mean you all let the platoon (blog especially) die off. It's also the pride of being a well-bonded and excellent platoon. Besides, the platoon blog is less formal than the official RIRC blog, you all can chit-chat here (quite) freely.

And if you can get a new blogskin. This one looks rather dated.

Okay and Ryan Chiong I will add you into this blog lol...

Year 2s, why don't you all add the year 1s to the blog? I realise they can't even post (which is probably why they aren't really coming here!)

If you look through the blog, you will find that there were probably less than 20 posts last year. So we need to revive it! Yay! Remember to post! And anyone who is good with this html stuff and can help change the skin and all, please talk to Deodatus sir :)
Also, remember to turn up for our flag painting on Saturday, 7.30 a.m. (Don't turn up at 7.30 pm to find no one there) We should be done in a few hours, so please come help out! We're buying the stuff (paint, canvas etc.) after cross country this Friday, so you can come along if you want. Of course, costs will be split between everyone.

Ok
Step1: Scroll down and look all the crap below the vid (like, dislike, share etc etc)
Step2: Find the button with the words 'Embed'
Step3: Click it
Step4: Copy the words in the box that appears
Step5: Paste the words into the 'Edit Html' section when you're posting
(Edit html is the section you will automatically be in when you wrte a new post)
Step6: Publish your post

So im gonna do all 6 of those steps, and show you a video

Of course, this video was made LAST year, so the positioning of the Embed box is different, but basically everything else is the same (cept for the fail copy and paste)

Our platoon blog is in the WORST WORST WORST WORST state right now. It is pretty much DEAD. NO ONE ever visits it anymore.

HI,
I hope you guys already started packing, to prevent the "Eh I forgot to bring this!" On the night before the camp.
Please inform everyone that the packlist has changed slightly. In camp you have to bring the following items:

1. Old Shoes. This was mentioned in the packlist as "optional", now its "COMPULSORY".

2. Zip-Loc Bags. This is to waterproof items, so please make it as big as possible. (Not big till like A1 sized. slightly larger than A4 is fine.)

Ok this is what Iota has to do (in case you didn't know, which you should'nt)

As you can see the snow white is the easiest (which really is), we only need to find a female actor and give "him" some things to talk about.

Anyone wants to volunteer to be the girl?

Im suggesting Wei Yang or Qi Jing, because (i think you know why)

The second easiest should be picture, cos we can just ask Wei Yang, who is in the photog club, to take a photo about Red cross then that's it.

Others are all relatively hard to make and so we need to be split up into groups to finish these performanced.

If you think you are good in that aspect, feel free to make a group and start on it

but remember, it has to be FUNNY

next week is Inter Platoon Competition- Evacuation/First Aid

This competition involves A LOT of platoon points

I know that we did not earn a lot of points in march camp

so its time to buck up

take over the other platoons in this competitions

so sec 1 and 2 pls learn your bandages and evacuation skills

the possible bandages required are:

pressure bandage - this is IMPORTANT
Full body immobilization - this is also IMPORTANT
arm sling
elevation sling
chest bandage
scalp bandage
two eye bandage - maybe
jaw bandage - maybe
knee bandage

And sec 1s pls pls buy triangular bandages

the normal ones - not the equilateral ones

even if you are not going to use it, pls buy it to lend the sec 2s during the competition

anyway you are going to use it sooner or later

and pls learn these evacuation methods

Platoon Flag

Hi all,

Don't worry, it is not that expensive.

Yes, you guys will have to buy paint and brushes (if no one in the platoon has any at all). The cloth is just a piece of white cloth fitting the dimensions, i'm sure you can get it :D

As for the pole, use a normal bamboo pole from anyone's house. Hope that it fits the dimensions too. You guys organise among yourselves - this is a way for us to see how you work together and what you're good in, since last year you were still sec 1s and we could hardly tell much. Hope the Sec 3s will learn more about you guys too.

Last of all, try not to do solo work. If you can get everyone in the platoon to do something, then that would be great. Even better, you guys are trying to work with your batchmates in addition to platoon mates.

Btw sec 1s, i'm one of the sec 3s. Guess who i am. hehehe

Also, everything is freaking expensive, everyone has to contribute funding.

You first need an idea of what you want your flag to be like.

Regarding the Sec1s, I suggest you find a way to get them to come to the blog =)
Justin, I have granted you admin, I suggest you go add your fellow sec 1s, and sec 2s to the blog

1. Get your fellow friends to get a gmail - Blogger account.
2. Get their MSNs
3. Set up a contact list with emails.
4. Obtain the hp and house numbers from Jason, send a request.

That's the other task that I want the platoon to be able to achieve.
Finish the flag, and get the contact list ;)
remember: there could be bonus points if you're the first to do this haha.

In regards to the buying stuff, sure but i can't btw,
I have to focus on artsfest first haha by that time camp's over already.
don't take all the sec 3s, we are all busy people haha

Now, back to flag design.
Get the sec 1s and 2s to stay back tmr for a short while would be sufficient to get their opinions on what they want on the flag.
what you guys can do is basically, lay out a set of basic ideas then build on them:
Here are some basics to get started with
1. The Dragon
2. Green
3. Motto
4. Pole Decoration?
5. Other colours?

What i mean by basic is the foundation.
What you build on it is the details, for example: for Motto, details would be the motto itself, for The Dragon it would be how the dragon will look like, what colours will be use, outline or no outline etc.

Welcome to RIRC and Iota! Enjoy your stay and don't walk into the door on the way out. Post some survival tips for him on the cbox. I'll start off.

Dragging/Shuffling(Shuffling is more accurate, b60 will fix that if b59 doesn't)

On a side note, let's just go to an arcade at a location convenient for everyone. So everybody post where you live on the cbox and Ching Wai ask Wei Yang in class.And for the flag the fallback if nobody can think of a better concept will be a green monkey (though my best drawings have been scientific).
